Well I am told that I don't use this enough. So here is an update. Brett and I are almost done with this semester of school. And Brett will only have two more semesters to go after this, I think I am more excited than he is. We are already starting the long pain staking act of talking about were to live and are planning on looking at some of the areas we want to move to this summer. YEAH!!!
Shelbie is almost done with her first year of school. And is already to graduate!! She asks everyday when she can be done with school. She has really excelled in her academics and has earned strait A's in kindergarten. Which to most sounds like an easy task. Until I explain the fact that she has had to master the art of reading, and be able to read on her own. She has had to master math facts in addition and subtraction from 0 – 10, and already has started on numbers from 11 - 20. She has to be able to pronounce her phonograms all 100 or more before she can move on to 1st grade. Luckily she has already done all this and is loving every minute of making new friends, learning more, and reading to us each night.
Makinzie is growing more and more everyday. With her sister in school Makinzie is picking up on a lot of the facts Shelbie brings home to practice. Makinzie with in the last week has been able to recite her ABC's minus E, N and Z she try's to sing the song and some how always skips those letters. Oh well, she is only two. She has also picked up on numbers and can count to 20 by herself. It is always fun to hear Makinzie recite phonograms with Shelbie, Kinzie is trying to grow up so fast, and succeeding in that task very well. She does take after her sister in the fact that she loves to talk and is a very independent little girl. She loves to test her boundaries and see how far she can push mom and dad before backing down. She loves to give not only the devilish little smile, but the big puppy dog eyes she has to melt our hears all over again.
Well that is an update on us, look for some Easter pictures in the near future.
